About Travelling Divas

Dear Diva,

Since I was a small child, maps, passports and exotic locations have captivated me, to the point where I am now sure that I must have been an Italian explorer in a previous life!

The first day I set foot in France at 20 years of age led to a lifelong passion for travel and an inspiring career in the travel industry.

Early on I thought I should be a travel consultant, so for 7 years I diligently worked my way around the Thomas Cook Travel offices in Adelaide and Sydney, until the lure of airlines and aviation jet fuel took me to British Airways in Sydney, and an even deeper love affair with exploring this fantastic and endlessly amazing world.

I enjoyed a long and varied career with the airline, moving through the ranks and around the world, whilst feeding my travel addiction.

After that I worked in various senior management roles in the industry until 2007, when, after 26 years of working for someone else, I decided to take a break and study creative writing at university.  This was a fantastic opportunity and one that I loved the challenge of.

But ultimately, travel is in my soul and so the idea of Travelling Divas has become a reality.  My passion, combined with a glaring need for boutique travel experiences designed by women for women, has led me back to where I belong – here with you, for you.
