A South American Adventure, Diva Style A South American Adventure, Diva Style
This is the first in our series of 'Journeys of a Lifetime', where you will explore some of the most beautiful destinations on earth.  I am totally besotted by this amazing continent; its diversity and spectacular scenery, the people, the culture, the food and everything else in between!  Anyone who visits these countries comes back a little changed - it is impossible not to be moved by the past as you travel through different places and hear the stories of the Spanish invasion, the mystery of the Incas and those that came before....

We begin this incredible journey in Quito (long name San Francisco de Quito) a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1978.  It has a fascinating history starting in Pre-Colombian times, followed by invasions by the Incas and then the Spaniards of course!  Now a modern city exists, with a beautifully preserved historical centre where colonial churches stand side-by-side with elegant Republican homes on airy squares and the Spanish architecture has to be admired.  There is an impressive theatre culture, a lively art scene and the dining scene is flourishing - so this divine city has something for everyone!

And who says you need to go to Africa to enjoy a safari?  The Galapagos Islands have so much to offer and is one of the last, most,  highly protected and pristine environments left on earth.  We stay for 3 nights at the extraordinary Galapagos Safari Camp, in tented accommodation, exploring, immersing and coming face-to-face with beautiful creatures including the giant tortoise, flamingoes and so many incredible bird species, plus we snorkel the ocean to our heart's content.  An unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime, bucket list experience!

Then it is to Peru, one of the most heart-stoppingly, beautiful countries ever to exist.  There is so much to explore here: the sophistication and foodie scene of Lima, the mystery and beauty of the Sacred Valley and Cusco where the influences on local culture by the history of the Incas and the Spanish combine with the modern Peru to deliver an amazing grass-roots experience.  Then there is the extreme beauty of Lake Titicaca and its surrounds.  The pleasure and awe-inspiring moments are endless and I cannot wait to share them with you.

The accommodation is sublime, from our very own safari tents to luxury boutique hotels and a sublime Relais & Chateaux Lodge on the shores of a Lake.  The itinerary has been created with Divas in mind so come and explore this beautiful destination and try out  a different pace of life, a unique culture and some of the most beautiful environs on earth.  And most importantly?  Take time out to reconnect with yourself....
